Classification and difference of UV lamps:


According to the different structure of uv lamp, it can be divided into metal halide lamp, mercury vapor lamp, xenon lamp, electrodeless lamp, UV LED lamp.


At present, the mainstream UV curing methods include UV mercury lamp and UV LED light source. Both curing methods are used in the market. The biggest difference is that the UV mercury lamp is a light pipe output, and the UV LED lamp is a direct irradiation head.


Mercury lamp printing equipment generates high heat, is cheap, and has good adhesion, but power consumption and longevity are major issues.


Relatively speaking, UV LED lamps have long lifespan, low power consumption, low heat generation, no mercury, and are cold light sources, and do not generate ozone, are safer, more environmentally friendly, and have good stability.


At present, due to the low cost of UV mercury lamps, it is widely used, and safe and efficient UV LED light sources are gradually occupying the market. In the future, UV curing will mostly adopt new types of UV LED curing, including UV LED point light sources, line light sources, and surface light sources. Mercury lamps and halogen lamps will gradually be eliminated.
